About...
Water towers are rarely buildings of interest to tourists and are more often seen as warts in the landscape. This one, however, is one of the most photographed in Brittany and has even become an icon of the commune of Pouldreuzic.
Why? Because its tank is decorated like a giant tin of pâté, and not just any tin of pâté - it's the famous Hénaff pâté tin!
The Hénaff factory has been based in Pouldreuzic since its earliest days. As it has its own water supply network, independent of the public network, it has its own water tower, which overlooks the factory and the whole village. It was built in the 1950s.
